Overview

What it measures: Creativity dispositions—preference for novelty, willingness to take intellectual risks, comfort with unconventional approaches, and drive to generate original ideas.

When to use: Pre/post assessment in courses emphasizing creative thinking, innovation, design thinking, or entrepreneurship. Works well in large or small classes.

Completion time: 2-3 minutes

Response scale: 1 = Strongly disagree … 5 = Strongly agree

Creativity Items (1-5 scale)

  1. I enjoy coming up with new and unusual ideas.
  2. I prefer to try new approaches rather than stick with proven methods.
  3. I am willing to take risks to pursue creative solutions.
  4. I often think of ideas that others consider unconventional.
  5. I get excited when exploring unfamiliar topics or methods.
  6. I enjoy activities that allow me to be imaginative.
  7. I am comfortable proposing ideas that might seem "wild" or unusual.
  8. I look for ways to do things differently, even when the standard way works.
